Our People
Our SABO Team is currently made up of employees and workers in Australia and Internationally in China. All of our employees, from our HQ and stores to our international factories and off-site contractors, are paid living wages or above, work in safe working conditions and with equal opportunity. We pride ourselves on maintaining positive relationships and culture with all of our team members, both in Australia and overseas.
We take pride in the fact that our international partners adhere to a strict code of conduct, with our factories undergoing audits to ensure continued compliance. Additionally, we require our factories to uphold the rights of Freedom of Association and Collective Bargaining, as well as exhibit ethical business behaviour throughout all aspects of their business operations. By using independent certification standards, we actively promote social and environmental compliance, driving ethical transformation throughout our supply chain.
Our Charities
We believe in giving back to our community, no matter how big or small, which is why we are regular donators and sponsors of a variety of charities and causes, as well as regular sponsors of charity events and prizes including.
Our Planet
Over the past six years, we've started small, by breaking down our processes to see where we can make the biggest impact and change first. We have identified areas where we can have the greatest positive impact, including our packaging and fabric choices and energy usage. We are committed to providing our community with transparent details about our progress.
We understand that sustainability is an ever-evolving field, which is why improvements within our design and logistics teams working towards integrating sustainable practices and materials is a constant work in progress.

Our Packaging & Product
Our continued focus on using natural fibres remains a priority in 2026. Our primary choices are cotton and linen, selected for their natural and biodegradable properties, reduced chemical use during cultivation, and lower water impact. We also incorporate other natural fibres, including wool and ramie.
We continue to work closely with our fabric mills to improve fabric production and sourcing. Currently, 99% of our printed garments are made using our own custom-milled fabrics, and all of our exclusive print designs, lingerie, knitwear, swim and denim are OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified. This certification ensures that every component of the product — including fabric, inks, threads and accessories — has been rigorously tested against a list of up to 350 harmful substances.
In 2026, our goal is to further improve our garment packaging by transitioning to even more sustainable options that are easier for our customers to recycle.
At present, our garment packaging is made from recyclable LDPE. Our SABO shipping satchels and store bags are produced using 100% recyclable materials, and our garment bags are reused across both SABO HQ and in-store locations.
We have successfully reduced paper usage throughout our operations and transitioned 95% of our packaging to recyclable, recycled or biodegradable materials. A strict recycling and reusing policy is upheld across the business, particularly for plastics and recyclable items such as garment bags and food packaging. At SABO HQ, reusable water bottles made from fully recyclable co-polymer are used throughout the team. In 2024, we will further reduce paper usage by moving to completely electronic, paperless customer order invoices.
Our HQ has been powered by 100% solar energy since 2019, allowing us to operate on a more sustainable energy source — from powering computers to processing orders. In addition, our electricity usage remains lower than our solar output, meaning we consistently contribute renewable energy back to the grid.
To encourage reusable bag use and inspire our community to care for the environment, we gift reusable tote bags with all orders of five or more items. These totes are regularly redesigned to offer a fresh look and keep our customers motivated to participate in reusing packaging.
